Ever wonder why whole-wheat bread is healthier than white bread? Unlike commercial rye-bread(like the kind at your local supermarket), our suppliers only use 100% rye flour in their products.
The general rule-of-thumb is, the heavier the bread, the healthier it is.
Very little regular flour is used in the production process. Regular flour is used to remove some resistance in rye-bread because soley using rye flour would result in bread that is dense beyond edibility. There simply is no comparision between our aritsan breads and commercially availble rye-breads. Our bread is loaded with fiber and protein that commercial simply cannot meet.
All of our bread is made using traditional ingredients and processes, just like it was hundreds of years ago!
